A graceful, flowing, sensual image in pastel greens, reds, yellows, purples and gold, in the text-book Mucha tradition. This is the 3rd of 6 known variations of the 1900 printing of The Seasons<>, in which "the Champenois imprint on the bottom is replaced by an imprint of the L. Brancher Company, manufacturer of printing inks for the trade" (Rennert/Weill p. 276). The poem reads "Spring, emerging from the mists of winter, brings the joy of the new year with her sunshine and flowers". Rennert/Weill 74 var. 3.
